Byway 136 Heritage Highway Association is hosting its annual Trail of Treasures Sept. 30th, Oct 1st and 2nd. It’s basically miles and miles of flea markets, garage sales, and shops opening their doors and setting up tables of goods for the weekend!

2021 events have kicked off for the summer! The spring flea market (over Memorial Day weekend) was a success and there are many more exciting events coming up. I want to share a few of the events scheduled for this year and tell you about some of the cool places to visit while in Brownville. Bring your friends and come on down to Brownville on Saturday, December 7th for Brownville’s Christmas celebration and the grand opening of the Lone Tree Saloon Home Décor and Gift Shop. There will be a variety of home decor items, vases, soaps, candles, quilts and more.
While in Brownville, there are also other holiday festivities going on that weekend including the Village Theatre’s production of A Christmas Carol, the Concert Hall’s Christmas Gala and the Historical Society’s annual soup supper and bake sale.

Okay, it is really going to happen! There is still a lot of work to get done but I plan to be open in time for the Christmas festival on December 7th. So mark your calendars and plan on visiting Brownville Dec 7th for the Christmas festivities and to check out the Lone Tree Saloon Home Décor & Gift Shop!
Fall Flea Market 2019
Fall is officially here and you can kick off this harvest season in historic Brownville, NE at the annual fall flea market. Search for a special, one-of-a-kind treasure at the many vendors along Main Street. Brownville’s unique shops will also be open so check them out too! Have a glass of wine at Whiskey Run Creek Winery & Distillery, have lunch at the Lyceum, eat ice cream at The Blue Bird, and stop to have a beer at The Market Beer Garden. It’s going to be a fun weekend, folks!
Brownville’s Olde Time Christmas festival
Join us in Brownville on Saturday, December 1st for Olde Time Brownville Christmas Tour of Lights. The shops, museums, galleries & winery will be open. Do the cookie walk, bake sale, soup supper & visit with Santa. Christmas carols with the Auburn Church Choir and top the day off with “It’s a Wonderful Life” Live Radio Play at the Brownville Village Theatre. It’s going to be a fun day, you won’t want to miss it!
